After arriving at your self-catering accommodation one of the next things you may want to do is buy in some provisions for your stay but where from?

There is plenty of choice for all tastes for self-catering visitors to Glastonbury and this article provides a brief guide on where to shop for food and drink during your stay.

Town Centre

If you are staying in the town centre and do not want to venture far, you can get all your basic needs on High Street. Starting at the bottom of High Street…

At 2 Market Place is Stephens Butchers which have been trading since 2003 and has a reputation for providing the best local produce at a fair and competitive price. Most of their meat is reared locally. Stephens make their own pasties, pork pies, sausage rolls and meat pies and also sell Cheddar cheese and locally made preserves. • The Wine Shop

Just off 15 High Street The Green Room sells wine, beers, ciders and spirits, all of which are exclusively certified organic and vegan. Founded by Mark Ross, a professional actor for 20 years and a keen wine lover. Mark decided to launch The Green Room following his alarm at the amount of additives that are included in the making of traditional wines, most crucially animal extracts, which can include blood and bone marrow. These additives contrasted sharply with Mark’s ethics and beliefs as a vegetarian and he felt it was time to promote a more healthy and animal friendly way of drinking wine.
