  • Glastonbury Goddess Temple – 76% – place for peace and quiet – For those who enjoy mediation, the Glastonbury Goddess Temple at the nearby Glastonbury Experience is worth a visit. Opened in 2002, the Glastonbury Goddess Temple was registered as a Place of Worship in 2003 and is believed to be the first such place in the UK to be officially recognised for 1500 years. In what feels like a tree house, this spiritual hiding place in the centre of the town smells of incense and flowers and the soft and gentle music lulls you into a state of peace and gives you a feeling of warmth. Read a book here, write, or do some drawing with the paper and colouring pencils that are available to use, or spend some time reflecting and doing nothing. Twenty minutes in the Temple is as nourishing for the soul as an hour-long massage. Entrance is free but donations are welcome.
