Glastonbury town trails published by various organisations have been around for many years; each one is usually a variant of an earlier version! If you want a short walk around the town centre here are some trails that may whet your appetite:<\/p>\n

Along the lanes and in the hedgerows of Stonedown Hill reside some of the largest – ranging from towering maiden trees laden with veteran features, to gnarled and stunted old working pollards with upwards of 4m girth. As you follow the trail route you try to solve clues set on existing buildings, permanent features and monuments to discover the location of the buried treasure. This circular trail takes in all the historical points of interest in the town and climbs the Tor.
